Artists
Terms for artists
Short and clear: what you confirm when you show your work on arisano, what you allow us to do with it, and what we promise in return.
1Who we are
arisano is an independent art magazine published by NexTao GmbH, Königsallee 27, 40212 Düsseldorf, Germany. These terms apply to the artists’ section of arisano and to the artist area in which you build your profile.
2Your account
You log in with mico. One account holds one artist profile. Please keep your access details to yourself, because you are responsible for what is submitted under your account. How we handle your data is explained in our privacy notice.
3Your works, your rights
You may only upload works, images, videos and texts for which you hold all the necessary rights. By uploading, you confirm that you own these rights or have the permission of the rights holder, and that every person who can be recognised in your images or videos has agreed to their publication.
You keep your copyright. Nothing in these terms transfers the ownership of your works or images to arisano.
4What you allow arisano
You grant arisano, free of charge and on a non-exclusive basis, the right to show the content of your published profile on arisano and in the social media channels of arisano, always with credit to you as the artist. This includes the technical steps that are needed for it, such as resizing images, creating preview images and storing copies on our server.
The right ends for the website when you delete your profile or remove a work. Posts about your work that have already appeared in our social media channels may stay there; if you would like one taken down, write to us and we will remove it.
5Review before publishing
Nothing you submit is public before the arisano editors have approved it. This applies to a new profile and to every later change. While changes are in review, your published profile stays online as it is.
We may decline a profile or a change, ask you to adjust something, or remove content or a whole profile at any time, for example when rights appear to be infringed, information is misleading or the content does not suit the magazine. There is no right to publication.
6No sales through arisano
arisano does not sell art, shows no prices, does not broker sales and takes no commission. You can mark a work as available, sold or not for sale. If someone is interested in a work, they contact you directly, and any agreement is made between the two of you alone.
7Free of charge
Creating and publishing a profile is free of charge.
8Deleting your profile
You can delete your profile at any time in the artist area. It disappears from arisano at once, and we delete your texts, images and videos from our server.
